PTSDNJ is a New Jersey 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization founded in 2010 by Gita Patel, a licensed therapist located in Hackettstown, NJ specializing in trauma therapy, specifically with adult and child survivors of sexual abuse and domestic violence.

When a body has been exposed to and is affected by a traumatic event(s) the connection of the body, mind and spirit can feel as if they have become disconnected. Our program combines holistic approachs to healing (including yoga, sound vibration and empowering movement exercises) with traditional therapeutic counseling techniques which effectively heal the debilitating effects of trauma and re-connects the body with the mind and spirit, using gentle, nurturing and empowering methods.
